Gigmile, two production Flutter apps for a mobility startup
Flutter Engineer, then Lead Mobile Engineer, at a Techstars '22 company. Two apps in production, and the release cadence and review standards that got them there.
Context
Gigmile is a Lagos mobility and fintech startup that went through Techstars in 2022. I joined in February 2022 as a Flutter engineer and led mobile from September 2022 to March 2023.
What I did
Built and shipped two production Flutter apps, Gigmile and Fieldboard.
Set the team’s code review standards and release cadence, so the apps shipped on a rhythm the rest of the company could plan around, including during the fundraising period when a broken build would have cost more than usual.
Wired in analytics and used it to decide what to build next, rather than guessing.
Result
Two apps in production and a mobile team with a process, in about a year. Both apps are still listed on Google Play.
